Malouf is the Andalusian heritage gathered by Tunis after the fall of Granada, handed down from generation to generation by masters and brotherhoods, and carried through to us.
Founded to preserve this art and keep it alive, the institute brings together the rigour of teaching and the warmth of an open house, where one learns as much by ear as by heart.
[To complete: founding year, founders and a few milestones of the house's history.]

A demanding yet caring teaching, faithful to the oral tradition of maqam and malouf, adapted to every age and level.
The institute's orchestra gives the Andalusian repertoire a stage: rehearsals, concerts and gatherings throughout the year.
The making and restoration of the oud perpetuate a rare craft, close to the musicians who play it.

The institute occupies a traditional house in the Medina of Tunis, listed as heritage, where every space is designed for music.
Trial lessons, visits and auditions: push open the door of the institute.
